# How to cancel recurring payments (Stripe)

How to cancel recurring payments (Stripe)

In this tutorial, we're going to show you how you can quickly cancel a recurring payment inside your OptimizeCheckouts dashboard.

**Please Note:** Cancelling a recurring payment will not refund the customer and will only cancel future payments.

First, go to **OptimizeCheckouts** > **Recurring Payments**.

You will be taken to a list of all of your active recurring payments.

Find the recurring payment you would like to cancel and click the **Details** button beside it.

You will be taken to the customer's order details. Click the blue **Cancel** button underneath your customer's name and email address.

A popup lightbox will appear to confirm the cancellation. Click the red **Yes, Cancel Order** button.

The recurring payment should now be cancelled for that customer and will see a **Cancelled** notification to confirm cancellation.
