The OptimizePress SendGrid integration integrates with the Marketing part of SendGrid.
Integration Setup
To setup the integration, you’ll want to make sure you have a SendGrid account and have already created a list as OptimizePress uses the list to add contacts to.
Step 1: Get the SendGrid API Key
To get the SendGrid API key, login to your account at app.sendgrid.com and navigate to “Settings > API Keys”
From the API Dashboard, click “Create API Key”
Now you’ll need to do the following:
- Give the API Key a name so you can remember what it is being used for. Use any name you want.
- Set permissions for what the API Key can be used for. You can choose “Full Access” or choose “Restricted Access” if you know what to set there.
- Then click “Create & View” – note that once you see the API Key, you’ll need to save it in a safe spot should you need to use it again as SendGrid will only show it to you once
After you clicked “Create & View” you’ll see a screen like this where you can copy your API Key. We’ll use this API Key to make the connection between OptimizePress & SendGrid. Click “Done” once you have copied it to a safe location.
Step 2: Enter the API Key Into OptimizePress
Now we’ll enter the API Key into the SendGrid integration in OptimizePress. To do this, just navigate to “OptimizePress > Integrations” and search for “SendGrid”
Hover your mouse over the SendGrid logo and click the green “Enter Credentials” button
Now, take the API Key you got from Step 1 above and pasted it into the API key field
Then click the “Add New Integration” button to finish the connection to SendGrid.
Now you’ll see in the bottom right corner of your screen, the success message that the integration was added successfully.
The integrations screen will refresh momentarily and you’ll now see SendGrid among the connected integrations.
Now you are ready to use the SendGrid Twilio integration in Opting Forms, and Integration Rules in Checkout Products.
