How to refund payments (Stripe)

In this tutorial, we’re going to walk you through how to refund a customer payment inside your Stripe account.

Head over to your Stripe account and click the Customers link on the menu bar.

You will see a list of all of your customers. Click on the customer you would like to refund.

Please Note: For this example, we’ll be refunding a test purchase and have turned on Test mode in our account.

This will open up your customer details.

Under payments, tick the payment you would like to refund and click the white Refund button.

A lightbox will appear with dropdown options to select reasons for the refund and to add a customer note for the refund.

For this example, we’ll be keeping these options as default.

Click the blue Refund button to confirm.

If successful, you should now see a Refunded notification on your customer’s purchase.
