How To Test New Funnels

This tutorial is going to cover testing of your funnels.

When building your funnels, you should never assume that they work perfectly and is always a good idea to go through them live to simulate what your customers would experience.

This will allow you to make sure that there aren’t any holes in your setup and if so, you can easily go in and fix them before making them live.

Please Note: When testing your pages, we recommend opening a private browser that doesn’t track your IP address and will allow you to browse anonymously. You can do this by opening an Incognito Window in Chrome, or a Private Window in Firefox.

Once you have everything setup, we recommend testing the following elements in your funnel to ensure they are working how you’ve expected them to when designing your funnel:

Please Note: We have organised the testing parameters by Funnel Type. Please follow the Funnel Type that is most relevant to your setup.

Optin/Landing Page Funnel

1. Check that your funnel is properly connected in OptimizeFunnels.
2. Check the optin form autoresponder integration to ensure it’s properly connected. You can check this by going to OptimizePress >> Integrations and making sure the setup is correctly integrated.
3. Check thank you page links are working (links to lead magnets etc.)
4. Check post optin settings take subscribers to the thank you page. You can check this in the optin form settings on your optin/landing page.
5. Check that subscribers are being sent to your autoresponder and are properly tagged (if tagged) and/or sent to any automations.

Sales Funnel

1. Check that your funnel is properly connected in OptimizeFunnels.
2. Check the autoresponder integration to ensure it’s properly connected. You can check this by going to OptimizePress >> Integrations and making sure the setup is correctly integrated.
3. Check that your payment settings are correctly setup and integrated to your payment processors. You can check this by going to OptimizeCheckouts >> Settings >> Payment Gateways.
4. Ensure your payment processors are set to ‘Test Mode‘. This is to allow for the testing of your sales funnel without requiring live transactions.
5. Check that the products in OptimizeCheckouts are properly assigned to your checkout form on your checkout pages.
6. Check that customers are being sent to your autoresponder after purchase and are properly tagged (if tagged) and/or sent to any automations.
7. Check that your customers are being sent to their product downloads or course areas in OptimizeMentor and are being sent their login information.
8. Run multiple test payments to test your upsells & downsells are working correctly.

Webinar Funnel

1. Check that your funnel is properly connected in OptimizeFunnels.
2. Check the optin form autoresponder and Webinar platform integrations to ensure they’re properly connected. You can check this by going to OptimizePress >> Integrations and making sure the setup is correctly integrated.
3. Check thank you page links are working (links to lead magnets etc.)
4. Check post optin settings take subscribers to the webinar thank you page. You can check this in the optin form settings on your optin/landing page.
5. Check that subscribers are being sent to your autoresponder and are properly tagged (if tagged) and/or sent to any automations.
6. Check that the webinar element on your page is registering subscribers to your webinar.
